O filme “The Shape of Water” lidera as nomeações da 90.ª edição dos Óscares, que serão entregues a 4 de março, em Los Angeles, incluindo as categorias de Melhor Filme, Melhor Realização e Melhor Atriz, foi anunciado esta terça-feira.
As nomeações aos prémios da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas dos Estados Unidos foram hoje anunciadas no Samuel Goldwyn Theater, em Los Angeles, pelos atores Tiffanny Hadish e Andy Serkis.
“The Shape of Water”, filme de fantasia realizado pelo mexicano Guillermo del Toro, lidera a corrida com um total de 13 nomeações, incluindo as categorias de Melhor Filme, Melhor Realização e Melhor Atriz.
Por sua vez, o filme do britânico Christopher Nolan, “Dunkirk”, conseguiu oito nomeações, seguido pelo filme independente “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”, com sete nomeações.
“Darkest Hour”, filme político centrado na figura de Winston Churchill, obteve seis nomeações, as mesmas que o drama “Phantom Thread”, que representa a despedida de Daniel Day-Lewis do cinema.
Além disso, “Blade Runner 2049” leva cinco nomeações, todas de caráter técnico, enquanto “Lady Bird”, de Greta Gerwig, concorre também a cinco categorias.
O filme de Del Toro tinha sido já o mais nomeado para os Globos de Ouro, onde concorria a prémios em sete categorias, embora só tenha conseguido dois, o de melhor realizador e melhor banda sonora original para Alexander Desplat.
Já “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”, que chegou à gala dos Globos com seis nomeações, conseguiu quatro, entre eles os de melhor filme dramático, guião e interpretação feminina, para Frances McDormand.
